村井理子（柴崎幸 饰）突然接到警方的电话，得知多年未见的哥哥（小田切让 饰）去世。发现尸体的是与哥哥同住的儿子良一，理子下定决心：“得赶紧把哥哥变成可以携带的尺寸。”于是她前往东北，时隔七年在警察局再次见到了哥哥的前妻加奈子（满岛光 饰）以及他们的女儿满里奈（青山姫乃 饰）。三人一同整理哥哥住过、早已变成垃圾屋的公寓，发现了一张贴在墙上的全家福照片，照片中有年幼的理子与哥哥，还有哥哥、加奈子、满里奈与良一的合影。在为哥哥处理后事的过程中，理子不断吐槽哥哥，而曾被哥哥连累的加奈子却对她说：“也许理子你，并不了解他全部的一面。”四个角色重新面对“家庭”的混乱四天就此开始。
